Second Castro Daughter Bolts Cuba
Decond daughter of murderous communist dictator Fidel Castro left
Cuba two
years ago and now lives in the U.S. with her
husband, Castro's sister
confirmed on Tuesday."It's more than
true," Juanita Castro told the Miami
Herald. Ms. Castro, Fidel's 68-year-old
sister, lives in Miami and runs her
own pharmacy. Lazaro Asencio, a former
Castro comandante who also lives in
Miami, first tipped Talk magazine to news
that the Havana strongman had a
second daughter who now lives in the U.S.Her
first name is Francisca and she
is reportedly in her late 40s, but Castro
sources are withholding further
details because she wants to continue her
quiet lifestyle as a day care
school teacher.According to Juanita Castro's
account, Francisca escaped to
Miami two years ago after she won a visa in
Cuba's lottery.In 1996, three
years before Francisca moved the the U.S.,
another Castro daughter escaped
Cuba. Alina Fernandez was the product of an
extramarital liaison between the
Cuban dictator and a woman described in
press accounts as "a beautiful
would-be revolutionary."Like Fernandez,
Francisca appears to be one of
Castro's rumored dozen-plus out-of-wedlock
children."Fidel told me one night
- he used to talk to me a lot late at night
- that he had over 15 children,"
Asencio told Talk magazine."In November
1952, Fidel was in Santa Clara and
said, 'I need to borrow your
car.'"Asencio said Castro had two young
women
with him when he went off for a joyride.
Seven years later, one of the women
turned up at his office with a little girl
in tow."She asked me, 'Do you know
who this girl is? This is my daughter. And
she is Fidel Castro's daughter,
and the relationship happened in your
car.'"Asencio said that when he
confronted Castro with the woman's claims,
the Cuban dictator told him, "It's
true.""I learned later that he put
[his brother] Raul [Castro] in charge to
take care of the little girl; he organized
parties for her. He gave her a
good house in Santa Clara, and there the
little girl grew up and today she
must be 48. Now she's here in Miami,"
the former Cuban official told Talk
magazine.
