Self mutilation continues in the Combinado
de Guantánamo Prison

From the prison Combinado de Guantánamo
dissident Jesús Aguilera Basulto expressed
his concern regarding the self mutilations
that daily take place there, denouncing the
latest incident.
In this case, the prisoner Luis Alberto
Torres Rodríguez, after having removed 7
square centimeters from his scalp, tied his
tongue to the bed with a shoe lace from his
boot and cut a piece of it with a shaving
razor.
According to Aguilera Basulto the reason why
Luis Alberto Torres Rodríguez hurt himself
is because of the long sentence which he is
serving; of which he has completed 15 years
and still has 25 more years to go.
