DIALOGUE WITH CASTRO'S CUBA?

As for the issue of a dialogue with members
of Castro’s regime, I still agree with Jose
Marti when he said:
“Visiting the house of the oppressor
sanctions the oppression. Until the people
regain their rights, their own son, who
parties in the house of the oppressor, is
the enemy of the people.”
A dialogue with anyone from the Castro
regime is like conducting a dialogue with
the regime of Saddam Hussein and the members
of his support system who participate in the
design and implementation of abuse of
humankind strictly for self gain. Freedom
and democracy cannot be negotiated nor
compromised by political arrangements that
leave the assassins and collaborators in
charge or even in society with others
sharing the political and economic power.
The assassins have to be judged for their
crimes, as is done with common criminals in
civilized societies. For example, no one
enters in negotiations or arrangements with
Charles Manson or Timothy McVeigh, or other
assassins of the American society, even
though they assassinated a minor number of
people compared with the Castro regime,
which numbers at about 115,000 deaths
according to a documentation that Dr.
Armando Lago is compiling.
The Jews would not permit a dialogue,
negotiations or sharing of power with the
Nazis. Why should the Cubans, victims of
communism, have to negotiate or make power
arrangements with the Castro regime? Why do
we have to forgive and forget? Have the
Jews done that?
If we forgive and proceed as if nothing had
happened, this chapter in our history will
not be closed in a manner satisfactory for
the 13 million victims and martyrs in and
outside of Cuba. Nor can we raise our heads
while sill surrounded by enemies sharing
political power and obstructing our progress
and our civil and economic liberties.
DIALOGO CON LA CUBA DE CASTRO?

En relacion al dialogo con los miembros del
regimen de Castro, yo estoy de acuerdo con
Jose Marti cuando dijo:
"Visitar la casa del opresor es sancionar la
opresión. Mientras un pueblo no tenga
conquistados sus derechos, el hijo suyo que
pisa en son de fiesta la casa de los que se
lo conculcan, es enemigo de su pueblo."
Un dialogo con cualquiera del regimen de
Castro es como sostener un dialogo con el
regimen de Saddam Hussein y los miembros de
su sistema opresivo los cuales participan en
su diseño e implementacion de abusos a la
humanidad extrictamente para su propia
ventaja. La libertad y la democracia no
puede ser negociada ni comprometida por
componendas politicas que dejen a los
asesinos y colaboradores a cargo o hasta en
sociedad con otros compartiendo el poder
politico y economico.
Los asesinos tienen que ser juzgados por sus
crimenes, como se hace con los asesinos
communes en las sociedades civilizadas. Por
ejemplo, nadie entra en negociaciones o
arreglos con Charles Manson o Timothy
McVeigh, ni otros asesinos de la sociedad
norteamericana, a pesar de que estos
asesinaron un menor grupo de personas
comparadas con el regimen de Castro, cuyo
saldo es cerca de 115,000 muertes de acuerdo
a la documentacion que el Dr. Armando Lago
esta realizando.
Los judios no permitirian un dialogo,
negociaciones o compartir el poder con los
Nazis. Por que los cubanos, victimas del
comunismo, tienen que negociar o hacer
arreglos de poder con el regimen de
Castro? Por que tenemos que olvidar y
perdonar? Es que los judios lo han hecho?
Si hacemos borron y cuenta nueva ese
capitulo en nuestra historia no se cerrara
satisfactoriamente para sus 13 millones de
victimas y martires dentro y fuera de Cuba.
Ni tampoco podremos levantar cabeza mientras
continuamos rodeados de enemigos
compartiendo el poder politico y
obstruccionando nuestro progreso y nuestras
libertades civiles y economicas.
