Librado Linares "Plantado" In Combinado Del Este Prison
 
(CAMAJUANÍ/CUBA/November 1 /Puenteinfocubamiami.org) -   Magaly Broche de La Cruz, wife of the Cuban political prisoner Librado Linares García, sentenced last April to 20 years in prison, denounces that as of September 25, her husband has been confined to an isolation cell in Area 47, also known as ": Rectangle of Death", with no privileges to go out in the sun and with his marital visits also suspended for refusing to wear the uniform of common prisoners and for also refusing to salute officials in a military manner.

Magali Broche de La Cruz, wife of the political prisoner fears that they will cancel the last family visit he has this year which would mean 6 months without being able to see him and therefore with no food provisions from home, she stated in a telephone conversation to the Cuban Democratic Directorate.

"I went to the prison to inquire about my husband and was told by authorities that the last visit for the year is in November and that they would probably suspend same for my husband.  I told them I would go to prison anyway, for my husband cannot survive on the deficient food they provide at the prison"- finished saying Broche de La Cruz.

Librado Linares García is the general secretary of the Cuban Reflexion Movement of the central region of Cuba and has been an outstanding leader at regional and national level.  He was detained on March 18, tried and convicted on April 3 to 20 years in prison under Law 88.
